ScreenPlace Use Case
How to Snap Mac Windows to a Grid

You often want your windows to be aligned perfectly without spending too much time manually resizing and moving them. For example, you might want Safari, Notes, and Reminders windows side by side in three columns on your monitor.
macOS allows you to tile windows, but ScreenPlace can display a grid with customizable columns and rows that you can configure for each of your displays.
Show the Grid While Dragging
You can enable ScreenPlace to show the grid with customizable columns and rows when you move or resize a window, allowing you to place it exactly where you want it.
Snap Windows to the Grid
ScreenPlace can automatically align windows to the grid when you finish moving or resizing them, letting you place them perfectly next to each other or position a window right in the center of the screen.
Fill Multiple Areas of the Grid
You can select a modifier key, such as Command, Control, or Shift. When you hold it while dragging a window, the window is automatically resized to fill the areas of the grid that you drag across. For example, with a three-column grid, you can make a window fill two of the columns in a single drag.
Customize the Grid for Each Display
You can configure a specific number of columns and rows for each of your displays. For example, you can have a three-column grid on your monitor and a two-column one on your MacBook’s display.
